There is a difference between illegal immigration and H1b visa workers. Illegal immigrants don't compete for any jobs that I personally would be interested in, while H1b's do compete in the same professional job market as degreed and qualified Americans.

It's a bitter pill to swallow, but the tech industry has sold out american workers imo. Don't be angry towards the H1B1 workers, they are a benefactor of the corrupt system and only pawns in the game. Corps and Federal govt are the bottom feeders here....I saw this coming five years ago and slowly diverged away from the tech industry (mechanical eng.) to do "ordinary" jobs and potentially start a business down the road. No job security, corp hierarchy, bosses on top of bosses, etc, etc....the corp world wasn't for me.
