Has nothing to do with "liberal media." It was a business media report, dumbass. The company is closing just under 300 stores, about half in Latin America and the ones in the US are primarily those tiny Express locations that are like Dollar General stores. The concept hasn't worked. They will end the year with a net gain of employees. BTW, it was idiot right-wingers who blew this out of proportion and made it sound like the reason for the layoffs was paying higher wages. Walmart is replacing all the jobs and then some with new hires at Neighborhood Markets and Supercenters. Jeez people put on your thinking caps.
What is your source that says they are opening new updated stores is the same communities?
This store is BS, They are opening new updated stores in the same communities where a store is closing. This is a non story. Don't be fooled by the liberal media.

This is sad. Another perspective is that Walmart never made claims to save the world, they're fine with letting everyone know they're just here to earn some profits.
