Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Corporate Security along with Louisiana State Police will investigate alleged corruption and grafting in Covington and Lafayette La offices.

Finally, some heads are gonna roll. It's time this scandalous, corrupt regime gets what they deserve. Let's see how these clicks survive in federal prison.

Knew there were 2 escorted out. Didn't know there was a 3rd. Escorts out of office were in Covington... But not at "100 Northpark"

People actually go to lunch these days in the Quarter? That's an hour each way from Covington. BS from a Troll.

Still waiting for proof. Again what you hear by the coffee pot does not hold up in a court of law. Show me a picture of Bubba next to a 20 point with the owner of a drilling company sitting next to him and I will shut up and listen.

Really here for 25 years. How about the high end hunting trips out of the lakefront airport on private charters . Maybe building materials and help building Texaco engineers fishing camps. What about skiing trips to Aspen? Hell Lunch in the quarter and covington at some of the best restaurants.

Free golf , Free dinners ,Free electrical and A/C work at new engineers homes to get business. Etc, Etc

You can ask why SCM category managers go to lunch alone with current vendors? I think i still have them on my phone, nice blond but bitch to work with! Her boss even worse. I could write a book of stuff! Bed wetters? Moron please!!

Love all the bed wetters here, nothing credible to back up their claims.

Mayors and governors are in prison for the kinds of kickbacks Chevron managers have profited from. Go to the press as an anonymous source.

It is important to first develop a fear network to avoid whistle blowing prior to perpetrating the long con. Follow the fear network and it will take you to the main perps.

30 years ago, I was reassigned to the Louisiana operations district of a large independent I worked for, specifically for the purpose of providing oversight for purchasing, etc., to prevent the recurrence of scandal, which had recently been discovered (and dealt with), in Lafayette. As others have stated, herein,... it's literally a way of life in Louisiana, and though my efforts "appeared" to have had a positive effect, I was never completely certain that the corruption hadn't just "mutated" and continued. Totally different mind-sets down there. In fact,... I've often wondered that, because I wasn't ever threatened, or killed, if I was effective, at all, in stopping any of it. Probably not. But, given the abject failure of Big Foot, et al, as noted, herein,... it is simply shocking that no one's yet been held accountable and fired. Oh,... the thing that got the crew in Lafayette (for the independent I worked for) fired was their use of the U.S. Postal system in the course of committing fraud.

Yep, no wonder Buckskin and Moccasin was a total flop, and oh yea let's not forget Bigfoot, a total bust. That piece of shit almost turned into a salvage operation, what an embarrassment. It will be 5 years before it's ready, it might stay at the dock and turn into a pile of rust, just like all the other structures they own. Sanford and son at its best.

Reporting gets NOTHING done!!! Instead it gets buried and you get chopped. It's happened too much in the past to believe that it will ever be right now. That's why people are afraid to speak out publicly!!! Because we NEED our jobs!!! We might not LIKE them but we do NEED them!!! We all know that this is how things work, so why is someone trying to urge us to report things and use our names???? Are you an HR mole??? If anyone wanted to know some of the allegations all they have to do is look on this site. Then verify for themselves. But upper management doesn't want to know. Probably because they are afraid of what we will find out about them!!!

Corruption and payoffs in Louisiana?? Christ, this is business as usual. Don't be so naive to think this is a scandal. Nothing is going to happen, only more corruption and payoffs. It's the nature of things in Louisiana (and practically everywhere else, especially overseas).

It's going to have to be the state as internal investigation will just cover it up as the boys at the top don't want it to effect the stock price.
