Unless one of the Tahiti or JSM production wells goes down, CVX won't approve any money to spend in "Deepwater". Already kicking the can on waterflood wells. Remember that oil that's not produced is still "reserves" and does have a value "on paper" and can be sold.

GOM is finished as a BU. With the shelf property divestures, there will be little need to have a support staff in Covington for DW properties. Consolidation in Houston is evident.

Actually GOM will be second. AMBU is first and plans to JV work. They have been in contract and awaiting execution. The BU is being absorbed by Midcon. AMBU has no budget for direct work for 3 years. We may return but I doubt it. Watch how they handle this and you will see how we at GOM get whacked bext. Of all of CNAEP GOM and AMBU will take biggest hit and will look like nothing like they do tday. Small staff. little to no direct budget only in transitional roles. I am sure many know this and I am reconfirming.

GOMBU will change the placement of the letters, O and U. By the end of 2016, you will be able to order it in many New Orleans restaurants. Would you like a cup or bowl?

If you read the fine print, the CNAEP ESP is a 1st half 2016 exercise. The 2nd half of year BU'swill begin the shutdown if uber-low prices continue. GOMBU is the first slated to go under the current contingency plan.

I worked with Jesse Morris at SJVBU. How in the f--- is he still here? As simple as drilling is there he f---ed it up! In my career at Chevron Jesse is by far the dumbest D&C employee. And that is saying a lot!!! How can we keep a jackass as we cut hundreds of competent employees.

The OP is a troll, nobody is that out of touch. RAE is no longer used, CVX is on to the next acronym now...

I agree that actually had me pissing my pants. Lol at Rip. Now this will blow your socks off. Covington office can not support deep water only. We want to unload. Now who will be in market to buy? No one, I believe. But looking to unload the office indicates GOMBU is going to be decimated. To everyone that moved to other BU's and think you have a shot a getting back home in this process? It's a pipe dream.

Ummm ahhhh is this Rip VanWinkle? Rip let me clue you in. The shelf assets are being sold. Those employees will go with the assets. Another additional 350 employees will be laid off. April 1st you will know if you have a job or not Rip.
