Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Any news about AMBU?

With Nigel off to Australia is that just the first sign of this going to NOJV, or is there a chance it just gets hit hard in the ROM or CNAEP cuts?

That has been the sentiment by folks smarter than me. Tracking supply vs demand vs pipeline capacity it was evident

That prices would drop the most in the Marcellus. I called Bull Shit on 62 pennies for an M. But the poster was correct. It was that in late December!!!!!!

I was asked by my PDR no more than 6 months after Chevron acquired the acreage from Atlas (now AMBU) if I was interested in working up there. Back then, natural gas prices were starting to come down because a glut in natural gas was forming due to many outfits engaged in fracking. I quickly knew to thank my PDR, but told him I would prefer to wait and see. I'm glad I did not pursue the opportunity, as it surely was destined to be a short career. I was correct.

AMBU has no wells planned until 2018. The company message is one rig in July of this year. So even with one rig in July, you are looking at 15 wells. I wanted to go to this BU and was told about this in the fall. That AMBU will not drill for 2 years minimum.

A question, it looks like Midcon is scaling back well plan from 350 to 310 for this year. Has AMBU scaleed back its plan? How many wells are planned for this year. If its not much different then no worries????

Yes the head fake is gas in the Marcellus is not $1.50. In fact it was 62 cents on December 22. It has not been a 1.50 in months as the Henry Hub is at $2.20 I am sure, everyone knows their commodity prices, right?

Did Jeff talk about the 1 billion dollar EQT contract? No budget for BU but one for EQT!

Find the NOJV advisor there and ask him or her and watch them blush.

So Jeff you think no one knows?

Haven't you learned anything yet from John Watson during these times are scaling back and layoffs? Anytime he speaks or comments and tells you we are "going west", know for almost a fact, we are "going east". It's called a head fake. This show man has been head faking the market analysts far too long. Now most everyone is on to him.

Jeff did you mention the 1 billion NOJV contract that has been in place since spring of 2015 with EQT? Can you please explain why there is a nearly zero budget for the BU yet a billion NOJV contract? Who is that BU's NOJV process advisor. Go ask him that question and watch him blush!

Jeff tells the truth and who shows up? And a fatality happens and he loses his bonus. The budget is set through 2018 at nothing. John Watson in his quarterly call said as much. Now we can talk costs are good all we want. Chevron is still at the bottom vs competitors. In fact they no longer even include the comparison! To deceive the workforce is plain wrong.

Here is Watsons words...and futures means 2018....do you need 500 employeeshanging around with no work for 3 years? Don't be fooled. At least hint to the facts Jeff!

"We have really gotten our cost down very well in the Marcellus. We can compete with anybody there now but nobody makes money that I'm aware of at $1.50 gas which is where we are now and futures prices remain low. So we can compete with anybody but for the time being we're scaling back investment there."

It was stated that there would be around 50-70 more people laid off and Jeff specifically said that AMBU would be sticking around.

It's the smallest BU in CNAEP yet there is more talk about it then the ones that actually make this company money.

Can't wait for it to be an NOJV and we don't have to hear there complaining

Hey @bhn, you stfu. It's a legitimate question but does it need to be reposted a dozen times? Look through the old threads on the site and read the comments or ask for an update. Some jerks (you being one) just don't grasp how to participate in a blog.
