Thread regarding Follett layoffs

I think it's over

Amazon looking to buy the Aurora facility, no warehouse, no shipping from Follett. Then looking at the reviews on yelp. yikes.

Follett is done. Put a fork in it.

Someone removed the post regarding Amazon buying the brick and mortar of Follett and Nebraska. The post and links were here yesterday, gone today. Purdue was one of the places Amazon took, with Follett at another location there.

Follett will continue with ADC but will not have Kiva after 2017. It will need to find a new system or perform fulfillment manually.

Amazon builds warehouses to their specifications, so they are not interested in ADC. They build to fit their needs so they are the most efficient. Check out the new warehouse just over the Illinois border in Wisconsin.

Amazon owns the Kiva bot system that is the heart of the ADC. Follett has to pay Amazon for service on the system. Amazon doesn't want the ADC which is so poorly designed that you have to use tractor trailer trucks to move product AROUND the building to get the product from one side of the building to the other. Another brilliant Follett design. You own it!

You don't understand the comment because this is something they made up.
