At my sears store they eliminate the OPs manager and walk the store manager out for not having enough shop your way bullshit. So now the only person running the store is the electronic lead.. Are they out of their mind ? This company failure has to be by design. The company must be worth more dead than alive.

We lost are OPs manager and hardlines lead. Manager wise we only have one ASM left and the SM, plus three leads left. Out of 100 employees we used to have we are down to maybe 49. I have been with the company about 8 years now, I'm going to ride it out either way and try to keep up the moral in the store.
I am not looking forward to my shift tomorrow at sears I am the only one scheduled to cover the hardware cashwrap, sporting goods,lawn and garden plus hardware for my entire 8 hour shift. There will not even be anyone to cover my lunch break. I wish I knew how having associates work like this is going to save our store. Are other associates being scheduled with single coverage in their stores?
Part timers didnt get any hours this week at our store.
Our hours got cut to 30hrs as well. Our boss was told by his boss that it's crucial to keep our moral up. How is that even possible? He's been honest with us and couldn't help but laugh when he heard it.
Cut everybodys hours to 12 hours or less a week except full timers who now get 32-35 hours. Store hours changed to make sure you don't get people going to work or coming home from work 10am-6pm. 10 people have quit since after Christmas but we have not hired anyone to replace them. only one cashier scheduled all day lone (two on weekends). No one to work layaway, no one in any department to help customer, no work getting done (just stocking shelves) The end is near
Our sears store has left go the operations ,hardline and softline MCA leads, cut store hours and cut staff to one cash rap cashier during the week ,plus only one salesperson in home improvements at a time. How they think we are going to cover the store with no one working in it is beyond my pay grade.
Our sears cut a "veteran" lead, and left tweedle dee, and tweedle dumber. That's our smart action planner!
My store has cut Brand central manager and a softline lead.
They also eliminated our ops and one lead position changed our store hours to 11am-8pm
Our ops manager, hardlines lead, softlines lead and cashier lead just got cut, we just started opening from 11-8 on weekdays. The days are near and I finally can start leaving this place.
