It's getting worse....
Yesterday, a fanatic waving a CPDEP roadmap as a flag, ran into a meeting and self detonated, covering the entire room and everyone in it with coolaid.
You will pay for your honesty at Chevron. Call the hotline and explain your story. The shareholders need to know how corrupt CVX management will run the stock down. Worse of course, cause deaths and injury.
qkn-Ugh.....your young. This is a blessing u can not see yet....Chevron sucks, u don't want to spend 20 yrs here and have no marketable skills like 90% of Chevronites that will get canned in a month.
Naive puppy, naive puppy...how can they fire you, you ask? Calling BS in a meeting is not the best Chevron Way behavior to exhibit, and someday that manager or someone else will teach you a lesson you will never forget. Keep drinking the Cool Aid, you will need those calories later on.
But i am 2/3 of the way through Horizons, have been told I am high potential ( since grade-school actually :) , I went to all the XYZ network events, I embrace diversity, exhibit We Lead behaviors, have the Tenets of Opex memorized, can recite the Chevron Way brochure contents by heart, have received 15 Recognition Awards, have knocked down phase gates like they aren't even there, have had 3 wells drilled and come in with oil plus I exercised stop-work authority on a platform op that probably saved someone's life; how can they fire me? I am a female who spoke up in a meeting to call bs on a really bad well plan that a manager wanted to get through to get a bonus tied to his PMP. Thats how.
Smile and wave boys, smile and wave. Never drink the Kool Aid.
I'm going to miss my Glossy Folder. And all of the Chevron Logo toys, and my Red Swingline stapeler.
