So apparently they let go of three new hires as soon as they walked in the door for their first day. Were they only hired to be fired instead of us? Dont know if there will be more today or not.

It's not gossip if it's true Oilguy25. AND we all have breaks, some of us don't play on company time.
Well when the guy that you were going to train that day disappears, you have to ask "wheres the new guy?" Oh all 3 new hires were laid off on their first day-first hour. Your a f---ing joke, as is the decision to hire after the announcement of more layoffs.
And whoever wrote this post in particular is most likely lazy as hell. You need to worry about your job instead of the gossip and finding out who got let go and who didn't. Maybe that's why you are such a prickly since you are only looking for the bad instead of the good.
If you lost money then that's your fault not the companys. They are customer oriented and only offer the best quality producta so that's going to mean no cutting corners. Which also means that employees will sometimes take the hit, and that's okay. I'm willing to sacrifice myself for the sake of Mr. Bernard J. Duroc-Danner.

Because I have been following the decisions this company has made over the last 17 years and I can tell you with 100% certainty that they should be questioned, every step of the way. The company is in horrible shape and frankly it will be a miracle if it survives until the price of oil turns around.

Weatherford is a great and professional company. Why question their decisions? I believe it was a positive and strategic move that will have a resounding impact in our quarterly review.
