Where are all the deadwood posters on this? Riding around in their little Obummer electric mini-cars?
With oil this cheap, the ,electric car concept will sit on the shelf awhile longer.
Yawn. It's not like any of you bicycling hipsters will ever be able to afford one while working at your barista jobs. Besides, good luck commuting in one while stuck in Houston traffic with the A/C blaring. I should start a tow service design to rescue electric car owners from the freeway when their energize bunnies run out of cold-brew coffee and battery fun juice.
blah blah
while I agree that the world will rely less on oil for personal transportation, where do you think the electricity for these vehicles will come from ?
also, think of all the other products (chemicals, plastics, cosmetics, etc.) that rely on petroleum.
oil will be around for a long time ...
And where is it that electric cars derive their energy?
There are so many other things that use oil it's not even funny. I doubt electric cars would put much of a dent in supply/demand. By the time they have it figured out I'll be retired.
