Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Easter

We were the only store in the entire mall open on Easter. Kept the mall gate closed the whole day. Our store actually did a lot of business, because anyone who wanted to go shopping had to choose between us or the grocery store down the street. Kind of sad though, that we need the money this bad we are the only store open on a national holiday, and can't afford to give the associates family time.

The Lampert family, went out to check the "Traffic" in some Sears and Kmart stores, on Easter. With nothing else to do, they would have had to stay home and talk to each other.

And ex employees that have worked for Sears/Kmart for years only to have their job eliminated have also stopped doing business with them. Myself and others even payed the higher prices at Sears/Kmart thinking I was helping save the company and my job. Boy were we wrong.

Sears tossed aside it's most loyal customers, the older portion of the population in hopes of capturing a younger customer base. As a result long time loyal customers stopped doing business with them. Sears hired bad employees and terrible managers.

Easter is a Christian holiday, not everybody is Christian like some of us.....especially Sears Holding Corporation. If Sears is still around by Christmas they will probably be open on Christmas for the MONEY....
