Thread regarding Follett layoffs

You got to be kidding

I received an email from a consulting firm looking for an individual with "my skills" to assist with the ongoing development of staff augmentation with a large private company. This company is looking for (many of the skills I do) to help drive their business.

So out of curiosity, I decide to contact this firm. They want to offer $51/HR, overtime pay, no benefits, no PTO. I ask this guy, and what company is this for? (You probably already know...FOLLETT!)

So unsure why he did not see I had worked for the company prior, I said I could not work at that low of pay staying I would consider about $70-$75/HR. With hesitation I was informed he will contact me to see if this was reasonable.

Thinking I would not hear from him after a couple of months, I received a phone call stating they would offer $70/HR and to begin filling out paperwork as the client is in need of a person with "my skills". And who would I report to? SS.

So after having a little fun, I declined and stated I had left the same company and politely declined unless they were willing to pay $250/HR to deal with the extra headaches and the idiocracy.

Needless to say, the guy hung up.

Hope you all enjoyed that chuckle

So we add recruiting to the list of lacks core competencies. That makes this management competent in exactly... nothing.
