Second lay off in Columbus today. 45 head count out the door. Next one set for 4/30. Haven't heard the number but I'm sure it will be large.

Obviously I don't know who "@GFOyHlk-2hfg" is. Posting that BKA is to "Remain" backbone of Exterran (In All Cap's...REALLY?) BKA is a shell of it's former self and that's quite clearly by design. No new job's coming in, this place runs on "Hope" and hope never got the job done! "Impossible to lay off any more and still keep the Texas plants afloat", I want some of the drugs your taking. You are clearly delusional, an idiot, or both. BKA will fold in short order.

Whoever keeps saying BRT and NHR will close....where do you get your info? PEQ is moving people (not many, but some) from CLB to NHR. Do you really think they'd bother with that relocation just to turn around and close another facility?

What happens if you get acquired ? You get laid off ? Or, do a bunch of MBA types just come in and tell you that you don't know what you're doing, which begs the question- why did you buy us in the first place ?

Clearly people on this thread do not fully understand Exterrans business model. While manufacturing and product sales may be suffering mightily, what everyone seems to miss is the steady cash flows of the international contract operations which generates upwards of 700MM annually. Fab services will not keep Exterran afloat, ICO will. Not to mention the decent debt to equity ratio and a healthy line of credit. All Exterran employees should be thankful they did not end up at Archrock who will quite possibly get acquired and it seems like someone is already making a run at it given the recent price surge and trade volume.

BKA has a huge Engineering overhead. This is not cohesive for the Production Equipment Business.

While the Broken Arrow Facility always provided quality built equipment, the Cost overruns due to re-work from engineering always loomed over their heads like a thunder cloud. If they cannot fix this they to will succumb.

BKA TO REMAIN BACKBONE OF EXTERRAN.WITH THE HIGH SKILL LEVELS OF WELDERS AND FABRICATERS AND DECENT ENGINEER'S IT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO LAYOFF ANY MORE AND STILL KEEP TEXAS PLANTS AFLOAT.

It makes me sick to see the company so many sacrificed a large portion of their lives for reduced to rubble.

From what I hear, only about twenty moving to NHR. Get ready for PEQ to be sold off.

It is sad they are closing both facilities. There are a lot of hard working people losing their jobs. The greedy, overpaid, lazy, and lying upper management are getting to keep theirs. The corporate structure now looks like a mushroom cloud and that's what this company is. A disaster that created havoc. They need to start getting rid of directors and above as they took from the company and still keep taking. Today was the worst day in Columbus and I hope for a change of mind like before but I feel it is gone for good.

It is safe to say that Exterran will not be able ride out this down turn. In 2009 they planned to close Columbus and ran into a wide range of issues only to be saved be a rapid upturn is work late in the year.

With the Archrock spin off and the dismal performance they are making, the only thing for Exterran is it to be broken up and sold off. This will only be a matter of time. Things will get very bad in Columbus with EXTERRAN and KWI, who isn't in very good shape either, cutting way back or shutting down. It is rather odd that the day the lock the gate in the Youngstown Ohio plant they start the cutbacks and closing elsewhere. Exterran has lost the ability to operate as a stable, financially sound, well managed firm. It's such a crime when others are brought in from outside of the industry to only destroy a company. I saw this coming 10 years ago and am very sorry for some of my old assoicates and friends who are having to deal with this there. I alway said that a large, publicly traded company, doesn't have the interests of the employees in mind. It only cares about margins and share holders not the real workers that built the firm.

And all things, said and done, the corporate pucks that feed on the system get the greatest reward.

They are "IDLING" Columbus? They can't only chop 25% and make enough room at NHR. Besides the electrical, gas, and Foundation, among other things, will only support about a third of what the Columbus Plant can.
