I was RA'd back on March 2nd and my last day is May 31st, which is in about 2 months. Thus far I have had zero motivation to continue working, and it's taking a toll on me and all my colleagues. How am I supposed to find any motivation to keep coming into the office until May 31st? The only thing that's on my mind is what I'm going to do after IBM. To all those around me, I'm sorry if I seem like a total flake or zombie employee. There's just no drive left in me to care about doing any work for IBM. I guess I'll continue dodging work and looking for jobs while in the office.

If you don't take what they offer, it's 2 weeks notice at best and fighting unemployment claims when they try to argue that you "quit"
Why does anyone take it ? Taking it means you give up several of your rights. Doesn't it ? I dont work and never worked for IBM but am wondering ...
Be thankful you are out and that you are getting 3 months notice and 30 days severance. You will find a new and better company, and be happy and be treated with decency. IBM is done, the way its treats its customers, and employees, with scorn and disdain. You will be better off. I too was laid off 1 year ago, best thing that could have happened it got me out of the miserable, toxic work environment that IBM has degenerated into.

You'll have company soon. The Watching IBM facebook page just posted about an imminent very large cut to US tech sales, probably this week, last day of work June 30. Also big cuts in Europe - Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and also Phillipines. Last one out please turn off Watson!
I'm so very sorry for what has been done to you and all the other good employees. Let's face it, all the "deadweight" has been gone a very long time. I have not been tapped yet, but my whole group (the few of us that are left) know our days are numbered. As we watch our friends and co-workers leave it's not only heart breaking, but makes each day hard to face. With this latest slap in the face... Stick around for 3 months, do your job, look for another job in your spare time, oh and by the way we've reduced your severance to one month... all good thoughts of IBM are gone. Many of us have begun looking for new jobs, hoping to leave before getting the boot. I realize the people making these decisions live in a different world than the rest of us, but honestly how do they let good people go, accept big bonuses and face themselves in the mirror each morning. To you personally I just want to say I hope your life after IBM is so much more fulfilling and joyful than I'm sure it has been in a long time. You deserve happiness!
