You can't retain HSA money. It's use it by 3/31 or lose it. If you schedule as many uncovered or partially covered procedures as possible between November and February you'll use it all. Think eyeglasses, dental work, podiatry, dermatology, orthodontics, etc.
Stress out next year when you no longer get seed money and your deductible for a family is around $7000.
Here is how to NOT have a heart attack thinking of the new health plan. Take the out of pocket maximum and subtract what Qualcomm is seeding along with the wellness. Divide that difference by 12 months. That is your monthly "premium". Now budget for that and go consume health care like a drunken sailor. Health care is only stressful this year because people are trying to save/retain part of the HSA money the company has given. Don't stress about it!
