BP spokesman Jason Ryan said the cuts were part of the 4,000 upstream jobs its plans to eliminate in 2016. The company is also aiming to trim about an additional 3,000 downstream jobs by the end of 2017.

Now we see how BP is going to pay their CEO his 20% increase in his compensation package after losing billions of dollars last year!
It just keeps getting better. This makes the 80's seem like a real Camelot. I am so glad I can retire from this industry.
