Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

What the status with the Cox deal?

Can anyone provide insight on the Cox deal? I heard it was supposed to be final by now, did I miss an announcement or something?

The deal is moving forward, just waiting on the govt's stamp of approval and Cox should take over in or by August. The million dollar question is how much was the price reduced to make the deal happen.

@GHyZkjq-2urb, Thanks for liking your own post, "bitter, disgruntled "GOM is the bane of the Earth" Chicken little troll." Mommie said that you should always love yourself before you can love others.

Right now, you have gotten past the first step.

GOM is gone. Good, bad, great, racists, diversity lovers....it does not matter you're FVCKING done. Time to hit the pavement. BTW you won't get a job, just retire. The gravy train has derailed.

There's quite a few I could name that are a joke. They're not "millennium" aged either.

@-1kby, Disregard any comments from troll @-1meu. He is the bitter disgruntled "GOM is the bane of the Earth" Chicken little troll. Apparently, some or one of the GOM personnel, who value work ethic, discovered that he is deadwood and he has been butthurt and complaining about it ever since. He cannot comprehend that people just show up, work hard, have respect and pride for their company and enjoy it, like the GOM personnel. I have done business with them and I know. They are just old-school, hard-working , traditional oil patch. These entitled little liberal millennial newcomers who want everything handed to them don't get that concept. They think that the world owes them a living.

@-1meu, do you have issues with people in general? Perhaps with people that (yikes) don't share your exact worldview or cultural orientation? If that is the case, and I suspect it is, you are probably not a good fit for Chevron, in general. Hopefully you and your poor attitude have moved on or will do so on April 7. I moved to GOMBU from outside Louisiana and had no trouble assimilating. The culture is unique and southern genteel prevails. I have met and worked with some of the nicest, kindest, and most skilled people I have ever known anywhere in the world. Sorry you feel the way you do. Life must be miserable for you. Hope you get over yourself someday soon.

April Fools day and GOM. Ironic, isn't it. Bigoted clowns who persecute anyone not from NOLA area, then wonder why so many employees will never work in GOM again. Facts speak for themselves.

Even Cox realizes this is subpar assets. It's why Fieldwood gave the number they did.

Yes, we all heard in another thread on this site that the Cox deal (GOM asset acquisitions) was going through. Well, here we are on April Fool's Day. Let's put this one to restbonce and for all. There is no Cox deal. They walked away. Chevron will need to find other buyers or give the properties away for pennies on the Dollar.
