Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Good luck everyone

Finished packing up today. Hopefully everyone got their personal files, PMPs and personal stuff out of the office. Very much looking forward to getting tomorrow over with. This whole ROM process has been so massively stupid and half-baked that it will be nice to move forward no matter what. A part of me kind of hopes I'm left standing because I have gotten way too comfortable at Chevron and it will be good (although painful) to hustle again. Don't want to wake up in my late 50s and realize that all this time has flown by and Chevron is all I know.

There really is life after Chevron. I was laid off last year and I thought my world had crumbled.. but ohh the places I've gone since then. Yes its scarey facing the unknown but I sucked it up and moved forward. Ive gotten some great offers that pumped up my self esteem right up again and I'm doing good, I like my new company and the experience showed me I'm stronger than I thought I was. Everyone will find they will be too. Good luck tomorrow!!
