Whole Foods Market launches line of hair care products --LMFAO! http://newhope.com/news-analysis/whole-foods-market

(Sarcasm ahead) Look out Trader Joes, Wegman's, Costco, Fresh Market, etc, etc-----Whole Foods has unleashed it's clever plan to lure away your customers.....So this is the "secret sauce" that will make Whole Foods great again----shampoo and hair conditioner!

I can just see the droves of customers lining up around the block (especially all those Millenials!) just waiting for the doors to open so they can buy these hair care products. After all, where else can you get natural/organic hair products? It's not like there are any other companies making them right? It's not like there aren't hundreds of other shops and websites already selling them (at better prices).

The image of Nero fiddling while Rome burned all around him comes to mind

“In the past, customers had to choose between hair care products that were free of harmful ingredients, but did not perform very well, or salon-quality products that possibly contained less-desirable ingredients,” said Brenda Peterson, beauty product developer for Whole Foods Market’s store brands, in a statement. “But now, we’re thrilled to offer our customers great, plant-based hair care at a fraction of the price.”

translation? "In the past, you had to choose between products we hand curated that either sucked and didn't work or weren't really as clean as we let on. Knocking off our vendors products for our own private label has always been part of the win-win partnership we share with our vendors. We win and win. Now we've added the tenant of trash talking our suppliers products to that core value, which we here at Whole Foods believe is a win-win-win!"

What's next, a hair salon next to the tattoo shop? Yeah, when I browse the grocery aisles for organic kale, I often find myself thinking....."if only I could get a tattoo right about now, or perhaps a new hairstyle....or at least some natural hair care products, 'cause those are soooo hard to find...yes, that would truly complete my shopping experience!". LOL!
