Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

This entire process and knowing of the layoff prior to holidays 2015 was excruciating. It affects the employees and their families.

Once proud company ruined by inbred leadership of a progressive nature that embraced everything and therefore now stands for nothing.

Chevron really SUCKS at managing their "most important asset", their employees. This whole process from the very beginning has been mismanaged, confusing, contradicting,

This process took eay too long. They should have just made selections as part of pmp process and been done with it. I don't think making everyone stress over getting their go400 and gtmis updated really improved the selection decision process. Other majors can get this sort of thing done in weeks. It takes us months.

OP Completely understand your frustration. I'd like to put it into perspective for you. GOM has been in this state of mind for roughly 14 months. Seriously. Over a year now. Maybe one day we'll be a case study in a textbook. Lafayette office closing, shelf put up for sale, OS's, FC's, shorebase's, pilots, geologists, petophysiscts, facilities engs, ops engs, land, hes, drilling / completions, shelf Asset Teams done. The whole process has been exhausting for us. I'm just thankful that it ends today.
