Pfizer tried to merge with Ireland based Allergan so they can move their headquarters overseas, and ship US jobs overseas, so that Pfizer wouldn't need to pay as much U.S. taxes. Obama and Bernie are both outspoken critics of this "Inversion" scheme. And it looks like Obama was successful in tightening the rules around it. No changing headquarters to Ireland and shipping jobs overseas to escape paying U.S. taxes, like most CEO thieves wanted to try.
And some of these new rules are retroactive... So now go after Avago/Broadcom and GE. Punish and make them pay up the noses in corporate taxes.
Yup, this happened under Obama.. Not Bush 1 or Bush 2 or Reagan. Oh, and you can blame Nixon for opening the doors to China.
