I know many guys who received job offers yesterday who could barely pass CVX well control nor hardly even knew how to use Excel. These are the same guys CVX decided to keep to run their $1MM/day operations. The whole D&C group is a joke. It's full of lazy, incompetent, rednecks who stay employed through good ol' boy favoritsm network and nepotism. I had heard stories of this prior to joining CVX but thought it was just rumors. Now I know otherwise. What a complete joke. Hey Dave Payne, the next time you send out your monthly, useless email to all of us how about cutting out all the gibberish crap and tell us about how your daughter (who us a field engineer in MCBU) just happened to luckily not be in scope?

@GOoSzTO-2imp you're right, it's extremely low class of me to speak so bad about CVX managers who personally give special treatment to their offspring working for a worldwide corporation. They certainly deserve their jobs much more than the rest of us hard working peasants.
Anyways, since we're on the topic, how many times a week do you give it up the assto Dave Payne? Because I can certainly tell you've got a thing for him.
I think it's low class to speak so poorly of your former boss, it's really no surprise that you were laid off. I wouldn't want you working for me; regardless of your experience. And on the subject of nepotism. I promise you Paynes daughter has to work twice as hard as her peers. She's constantly being monitored and measured by so many people; and not just be smug low performers like yourself.
I think that there is one Chevron guy going around posting about well control over and over again because they learned that one skill and discovered one or two other employees who do not know it so he is all happy with himself that he has one skill. That's nice to have one skill in life. I suggest you learn some more. Not O & G related. Like the others that you make fun of who most likely have much better prospects than you.

OP - couldn't agree more. DP's Son worked for Equilibria. In the D&C world... well, we lost some good guys that knew what they were doing, guys who had a lot of experience.
