@GRPLcfM-1mda I bet. Many 'managers' can't wait to get out of their cube city in Dilbertville. Most of them have to put up with a lot of the same nonsense that you do, but there is no union rep to help them out. I really do hope that this works out for you folks. We got burned really bad and have no recourse, so its all on you.

As a fios install and repair technician, I am sooooo looking forward to having some time away from the job. I can’t take the stress and all the bullshit anymore. Plus my manager needs to learn what the f--- we go through every day. Enjoy your $$$$. I so don’t give a f--- anymore. I need my sanity back.

I hope that everyone keeps a cool head on both sides while this is going on. Its a lot harder to be a tough guy in person than behind a keyboard. Best of luck to everyone involved. It will end sooner or later.

M-ywb you are the kind of punk that is going to need diapers out there. You talk a good game here but you are nothing but a pu$$y and we will prove it to you. You also claim that you are a 'fellow worker', but given your rant, I'd say that you are one of those lazy managers living off of our work. And when this is all over and the company has used you all up, then they will simply lay you off. So go ahead big boy and run your mouth. We know your type. So bring diapers.

It must make you feel like such big men yelling obscenities at your fellow workers. Especially since they don't want to be there. Just go home and beat your little pe--ses or your wives. They already know that your nothing but little bitches anyway. America was founded on capitalism your dumb f---s.

"For those who think this is just a bluff. Just ask the fairpoint workers who struck for 4 months

Same setup. Verizon to implement changes in the contract (last, best offer) and union said no

Same setup but will the results be the same?"

Not this time but the company can hope. They definitely saw that as a victory and even hired the same law firm but they'll found out soon enough the difference between rural and urban unions especially 1101.

Most people I know with assignments aren't management at all. Just regular workers.

From those that I have talked, both union and management. Nobody is happy about this. Despite being prepared for the impending walkout, I do not look forward to losing money. Most of the managers I work with are decent people and they are well aware of the struggle they will soon face. I wish them no ill will. I just hope they stay safe and do as little work as possible. No sense killing themselves.

"Kool aid drinkers", "meet you in the street", "scabs"....who are you people? No one is happy about this. You think we want your jobs? No. Incorrect. We all have families and people who count on us. We all have to work. Just because I don't live in the NE, but may be unfortunate enough to be given an assignment to cover for you while you are striking, doesn't make me less human. I have a job to do and a family relying on me, as well. I don't care about the extra money. All I care about is leaving my family for an extended period of time and being threatened by fellow co-workers "on the street". People show their true colors all the time, but this is really disheartening.

mbn is one of the kool aid drinking girly boys who will wet his pants when we all meet in the street. I would love to be there when they finally lay his assoff and he has no where to go.

mbn / kqp , two losers, trying to stir the fires between management and union. I work with many in management who are not happy just as the union. They realize that what ever happens is short lived. They realize if the union loses they will lose. What good is making more money for a few weeks if and when the strike is over many will lose their jobs.

who in the real world will back the union when all of this goes public? Reps no college education, out sick 45 days per year make 75k..Techs who do ONE job per day, 45 days sick make 90k.. GREAT bennies..walk out..before you do, look at the simple math. You take home $900 per week.. stay out just 2 weeks, that your bennies contribution for the year. 3 weeks $2700.

I think there will be a long strike and Lowell will lock them out - even in Right-To-Work states. To management Millennials ( living at home in Mama's basement ): make and save your strike assignment big bucks money because you will most likely be RIF'd after the strike.

Bkm. 6.5 over 3yrs is garbage. Wont even pay for the healthcare increases so we will actually be losing money And when verizon says their benefits or pay are competitive. They dont mean competitive with att or con ed. Or pse&g they are reffering to comcast a non union sh-- shop and fairpoint a bankrupt sh--hole

Nope. Its time to get this party rolling and roll these wireless idiots who we propped up and who tore the company down because they thought that their customers and employees were expendable. Now that they have screwed the managers since McAdam and shamoo and bobby have been in charge, there is absolutely no loyalty or trust owed to them. The union has never been in a stronger position.

There will be no strike. Come Wednesday the line will be, "the company have made concessions to take x off the table... We are winning this battle and will save the strike for when it is needed. Please keep working and paying your dues." Company will say we gave up just a bit to diffuse the situation, but that is it.
