Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

DWEP numbers

I heard that DWEP headcount stayed pretty much the same after the ESP but does anyone know how many Ddwep folks were left standing with hundreds of expats and folks from other BUs applying for DWEP positions?

How many petroleum techs / engineers were let go?

220 petroleum engineers were left standing. Many experienced expats in their mid career were left standing. They were too expensive for CVX. Wonder who will work for them when oil is back on the track.

DWEP IT lost 25% of the org chart. Quite a few EOI's though so I'm not sure how many pure left-standing people there were.

My understanding is that HES took a big hit across the board.

I know of at least three EOIs (expression of interest) and a couple of drilling engineers. It seems like HR had at least two small rooms booked on the 40th floor with 'appointments' every 30 min starting in the morning until about 3 PM.

One of them also told me that they had a large meeting room setup with some IT guys to collect laptops, phones, badges and company credit cards.

The Org charts are not posted yet. But from an HES factor, I know 18 folks were left standing....
