so what about all the profits from the years where they were killing it and oil prices from 90-110 bucks? did they just blow it? there is no reason to layoff that many people

Profits went to Watson's entry fee at the Pebble Beach golf tournament.
It went toward increased expenses...hiring new people, paying existing people more, spending on major projects, and steadily increasing the dividend.
Pay attention, the profits went to mismanaged projects that are not producing, and bonus's as well
Profits went to Australia.
Should lay off 1,000's more.
