Depends which country you're in. US gets ripped off. Canada gets about 4 weeks per year worked.
You get one week for every year of service. Minimum is two weeks, maximum is 26 weeks. If you have 1 year of service you get two weeks. If you have 4 years of service you get 4 weeks.
Day I have 4 years do I get 6 weeks are 4 weeks do I get 2 weeks guaranteed plus a week for every year
WHAT DO YOU MEAN 2 WEEK MIN PAY PLUS A WEEK FOR EVERY YEAR ARE 2 WEEK MIN OR 1 WEEK FOR EVERY YEAR
Severance is capped at 26 weeks (half year). So if you have 30 years with the company, you will not get 30 weeks. You will get 26 weeks.
Two week min pay and one week for every year you have been there. 90 days of benefits and pro rated vacation.
You get one week for each year of service. Vacation is prorated and insurance for 3 months.

When you got your 5 weeks how many years of service did you have ?
They tell you anything to get you to sign. I got 5 weeks ( minus the 3 days that I worked, layoff on a wed.) Vacation is pro rated( told I would get vac. thought it was my 2 weeks was actually 6.6 hours) and three months insurance (? don't know yet if it is a full 3 months). Good luck!
