Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Another TJs near Uptown Dallas TX

Help everyone, we are hemoreaging as TJs is very shortly to withdraw its next round of blood. To make matters worse, this is about 3-5 miles from our new Uptown location. Also, close proximity to at least two other WFM stores. Any ideas as to what we can do to fend their onslaught on us? Shall we spend more on TV ads? Strengthen our regional team? (We cannot hire more people at store-level as we have just recently layed-off!) Now that we have just lowered our prices, what else should we do? Your ideas are most needed in our desperate times as we face these headwinds! For the best idea chose between a $100 gift card or a FREE tatoo at our new 365 store!

Competition is healthy, but not for Whole Foods.

Publix doesn't need track lighting. Their places are usually spic-n-span, compared to the vermin running freely in so many WFM stores (including the mismanagement groups).

Publix just got Brad's Kale Chips now and the Greenwise meat products are awesome. Oh but they don't have track lighting and they certainly aren't changing the world because they only give to Special Olympics and the United Way. That's not "change-y" enough I guess.

This is going too slow. This company is trying so hard not to be forgotten, but they suck so bad at competing with the real grocery chains they'll never get there. Meanwhile, hiding their heads in the sand and the death throes keeping dragging out and on and on. When will it finally just keel under and go bankrupt?

It's never going to be like it once was. The tragedy is that the mismanagement team pretends like everything's going to be fine.

Wholefoods has not lowered prices. I bought a leaf of aloe Vera at $3.99 (not organic) and thought of counter checking at Publix and for sure found it for $1.99. Sucked since I already got it but that will be my last dollars whole pay...something is getting this year from me. Surprisingly, they are also sponsoring some news on 105 radio in the morning. Who knew... Desperate times call for desperate measures!
