If sups are willing to leave their severance package knowing that they may get cut, then that should tell you something about the trouble COP is in. The company is losing a ton of money per month with only 3 rigs for the entire lower fr the entire year!!!

They wont layoff in April they will do it at years end once its too late then when production picks up they will have to rehire people. ...thats what they do...

Severances will not get cut. Management thinks that oil prices will go back up but they won't. They think oh we need to be ready to ramp up when prices turn around but they are not being truthful to themselves or their employees. Expect another 2,500 employers to get cut world wide! Since the onset of layoffs from last year Cop went from 21,300 to 14,900, still plenty of fat to cut ... Lots of Conoco heritage folks running around with fat pension and useless young kids thinking they know something.
I have noticed a few things around the office that says this is true!
