Definitely true. People were let go from WLY/ELD today.
I can now confirm these rumors to be true seeing as how I was the first to go at 2800 in Conroe at 8:30am this morning. Thanks for everything, NOV. No more forklift driving for me!! LOL

Non required indirect labor such as forklift drivers, tool room attendants and unnecessary leads on the floor will be cut from 2800 in Conroe on Thursday. Amongst several shop employees in multiple departments.
Rumor has it a few more will be gone in Pampa, no work equals no workers!
More layoffs are coming for the Eldridge location. There is still a lot of overhead in PCG... Secretaries, interns, specialists, designers, drafters, managers... Individual engineering groups can still be compressed down and ran by one manager. Get ready

FM 529 laid off 10 fab shop yesterday doubt they hit again
70 last Friday at orange. more this Friday 2/11 till they reach the total mark of 230.
Wly has nothing on the books for 2017 and 2018. By July of 2016 all work will be completed at wly. What do you think is going to happen then? I can tell you, major layoffs. You should be able to hear the fat lady singing by now.
