Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Meet the Peckerwoods!

Put your hands up for the Peckerwood family!

Another fine example all you can accomplish at Chevron if you were born, or marry into the right family.

I love the pecker-envy thread. Plenty of butthurt loser people with small peckers who peck their way out of the WOODwork to try to prove their manliness, like the last 3 posters. A small pecker, manly does not the piece of useless deadwood make. One with a small pecker usually pecks first and is the first to protest. When a useless piece of deadwood's manliness is the issue, the length of ones pecker is always in question. in this case, for the last 3 posters, the peckings are small. I feel so bad for dead peckerwoods on the chopping block who not only will lose their manliness, but also have to live their lives with no jobs and small peckers, like is obvious from the easy textbook psychoanalysis of the last 3 posters.

Yes, that's it... Big head, Small pecker.

I think 5zgq is referring to the classic psychology syndrome of "Big man, Little man". Projects himself as big, but he's really small.

The biggest peckerhead is the little entitled OP. apparently someone with a red-ass because someone has a better job than them and he needs to come up with excuses to compensate for his inadequacies.

I'm Mr. Peckerwood and I have no degree. I'm the one who thinks that I know everything and ridicules people with college educations. I'm really just a dipchit with no degree. Since I don't have one, I try to compensate by making fun of people with degrees because I know I'm not smart enough to get one so I pretend like I think it's better to stay stupid. Sort of like pe--s envy. I have a tiny one(tiny pecker) and I know people with degrees not only get better jobs, but they also generally have bigger packages. And they have better looking girlfriends and wives. Those things that I will never have with my small pe--s and no degree. And I will soon have no job, because me and my no degree and small pe--s are in scope to get cut, which will make my tiny pecker even smaller.

@GjkAAeG-3sca Why are you so upset Mr. Peckerwood?

Does your two year degree prevent you from having inte any kind of intelligent conversation?

Maybe it's all the twinkies you consume...

@GjkAAeG-2fue, you must be upset because even though you are an inbred who got a job through nepotism you still have a sh--ty job like a stockboy!

@GjkAAeG-2fue if you are wondering what inbred means. You are proving my point.

Your attempt to rationalize nepotism by saying companies hire children as stockboys misses the mark.

Chevron is hiring and promoting stockboys to manage scientists who are many times smarter than them.

These so called stockboys are also making 200000 a year. That's is a lot of barrels of oil for a stockboy.

Nepotism goes against capitalism.

In capitalism people should be rewarded based on merit and performance. Not based on who they marry, or if their husband is on the fast track because his parents also worked for the company.

Giving supervisor positions to people who lack the skills and credentials to perform the work creates inefficiencies, and also deprives opportunities to people who are more qualified.

The company needs to take a serious look at the culture before they can seriously compete in a low cost environment.

@2fue, you are missing the point and the big picture. No one hear is saying it is illegal to hire family and relatives. The issue is nepotism breeds FAVORITISM, HAVING AN ADVANTAGE OVER OTHERS. This reality or perception in the minds of all other employees is DEMORALIZING, UNPRODUCTIVE and a DISTRACTION. Do you grasp the big picture now???

LOL at that comment "You must be inbred." I wonder what that means. I only hear that type of comment from trashy people. Maybe those people have personal experience with that condition? Or people that have been beaten in an argument and have to resort to insults and name calling. I know that it doesn't mean someone with common sense about nepotism in all walks of life and industry. Like a company owner hiring his wife as secretary or choosing his son as a stockboy before hiring an outsider. I know that doesn't happen in real life - LOL !!! And I'm not sure government regulations ever have and ever will in the future, have any effect on that. Never bothered me. Not sure why it gets anyone's panties in a wad. I suppose those people who get offended have trouble getting jobs and need to make up any excuse that they can and use any unscrupulous angle that they can to be employed because they lack proper skills.

@GjkAAeG-vdn You must be inbred. Most well run corporations have nepotism rules.

Bernie Bro?

Miss Pekerwood has been using the her eastern european commie skills to milk the system.

And then she has the shameless audacity to tell everybody at Chevron networking events that she spent the last 5 basically doing homework from her office.

I think quite the opposite, Mr. Peckerhead. I believe that the smartphone gibberish that we receive on this site are works of art and are ENHANCED poetically by the use of said devices. I wouldn't want it any other way.

The misspelling and grammatical errors you often see throughout this site mostly comes from posters writing their opinions and comments from a small screen on their phones or tablets. I'm sure everyone also knows by experience these so-called smart devices have a mind of their own and change words as it sees fit. Besides, if you get gist of what is written, why bring it up? Just comment back something that moves the conversation forward.

Is this site a contest for who can best display their illiteracy? I hope that you use better English on your resume than that, Mr. Peckerhead. You will need it!

Wow. You must have worked at Chevron your whole life.

You must reminisce about the long gone days in which they let you smoke in your cube, and Chevron only hired people with blue eyes and brown hair.

Sorry to disappoint you, but in a world where oil is expected to stay 50 bucks for 5 years, nobody is going to pay you to lust over fit break girls, enter safety observations, or type stupid crap on yammer. So dust off that pc for dummies book, update your resume, and STFU.
