Why is it that all functions need to simplify except for IT? Why do their projects continue to take years to complete?

@Gk0VkcR-2jse, you poor BAYBAY!!! Did someone hurt your poor wittle feelings? We all feel so bad for you, bro!! Maybe you can get out the basement and go upstairs and hug your mommie and she will give you a cookie!!!!
@Gk0VkcR-wip ... you may feel like you are a know it all but you are the exact opposite ... just like a teenager child stop throwing fits in public. You are not the center of the world. The world does not revolve around you and your opinion and not everyone has to put up with you immature and selfish attitude . Why don't you shut up and stop posting your venom ...
When you have a person in ITC managing the PMO who has never managed a project successfully in his life, what do you expect. All he has done has add more overhead due to his being clueless on how to manage a project. His dumb idea of having PM's managing other experienced PM, just pisses off the PM's and adds more overhead. Doesn't hurt when your wife has a high position in HR. I am hoping I get the tap in the next ROM. I can't stand dealing with this incompetent.
Please Deadwood troll posters!!! Don't they already have a thread for you? I think it's called the Deadwood, Parasites, and Useless as tits on a bull who post all day waiting to be cut by the Axeman thread. They discuss how they can screw people out of money, since they are useless to society. Please take this to the proper forum! This is the "IT exempt from simplification "thread about how useless IT is only.
I see that yqx is another sensitive (maybe the same) simpleton posting crap throughout the site. If you handle a little ridicule, best go back to watching the cartoon channel. LOL (or did I repeat that one too?)
Yes, also the little girl who repeats right back the stupid expression of the first poster, instead of coming up with an original comment, giving herself away as a useless childish brat out here to harass and troll and nothing else.
Would you deadwood IT girls please keep to the topic instead of playing footsies with one another? This is the Layoffs forum, not barbies doll house.
Hey hkn, did I hurt your sensible feelings. Too bad. There's more from where that came from if you want another dose of reality. ROTFLMMFAOBOAY.
Hey poor wittle butthurt @Gk0VkcR-yip, did you also move out of mommies house?
You are such a big boy now!!!! ROTFLMMFAOBOAY!!!!!!
@ger, thanks for your concern, but why don't you see after your own benefit instead of suggesting what everyone else should do? I'm an adult and pay my own bills now.
Aye Aye, Captain!!!
Why are all you pathetic tools so butthurt on this thread? We're all going through the same thing and no one is any more useless than the next guy. You should spend this time working on your resumes and/or at least try to do something constructive as you Fvck-off during working hours. And don't give us that "I'm on my week or time off blah blah blah" BS. We know better.
Oh yes, IT projects are technically intense, difficult, require dedicated experts to manage databases and the supporting jewelry such as servers/etc. And what a great job IT has done with the CTO (jobs) tool!! Excellent failure...incompetence on display. I am positive you have an answer for the huge screw up with the CTO application ... bs excuse is more like it. I mean, only 5000+ ppl were depending on you to have a working and reliable database. Too busy running around checking laptops being locked in docking stations and dressing like pirates on the weekends???
It's too bad that the operations and HPHT personnel have not been very successful lately and not many "HANDS ON DECK" are required and won't be for quite some time.
Enjoy your job searches with the rest of the "DEAD WOOD" trolling this site..
Yeap, so the operations have to come to halt and all grandson deck for an application or tool. We don't make money because the UT people claim the employees need to babysit them
So you haven't been in the tool I see...IT is in scope in the various BUs along with a few ITC jobs. ITC goes through ROMs more frequently but you weren't in-scope for both of those that happened in the past two years so they don't count. Right?
How about this Mr. IT Whiz, I'll try to configure a new server and you try to design an HPHT well in 8,000 ft of water. Let's take wagers on who will be more successful.
When you are Dead Wood getting ready to be cut from the tree, it helps sometimes to hear a bright, happy, consoling voice from the other side.
You're Welcome!
"IT projects are intense, highly technical, complex" - said the IT guy.
haha! brightens my day at least
Because, unlike like your grade-school level tasks, IT projects are intense, highly technical, complex and that would not be understood nor realized by an employee of average technological intellect, no offense.
That is also the reason that working at Chevron is not the only option, it is only one of thousands, and in fact a gift, from them, to you.
Don't forget about Monday's CTO app release. I suspect that was following the same model. Yes, experience in executing a solid delivery is badly needed. The high dollar consultants can make it happen.
Because the ITC Leadership Team is not qualified to manage the IT resources and projects. Their current plan is to move the lower PSG's to Manila, Philippines and demonstrate a cost savings. Then the middle managers and above will get credit for saving money. However, the service levels will not improve because they do not understand the underlying problems in the execution and operations of IT. ITC is a mess....
