The part that pisses me off the most....they paid severance in one lump sum, boom taxed the hell out of it and now that delays my unemployment benefits. They could have offered me a choice to put it in a Long Term Investment Plan for my retirement ......

Seems the rule changed, they taxes the hell out of my severance last year but I still got my unemployment immediately. Someone else I know who was recently let go was denied their unemployment because of their severance pay. Seems wrong to me.
For the same length of service, some people seem to have received twice the severance compared to others. This is only a secondhand info. If it is true, it is truly pathetic what the co (WTF) is doing.
Why are you chirping, this post might help the next WFD negotiate where 8 months worth of pay goes.

Some people aren't getting any severance, consider yourself one of the lucky ones. You want an annuity, use your severance to buy a shitload of lottery tickets, maybe you'll win an annuitized jackpot.
