Not quite up to your discretion when you use them. I know at least 1 department capped it at 2 days and was told anything over those 2 days were lost(so working through the furloughs with no pay if you had 2 days built up already). But the wording they used basically said that you were giving up the pay already, it was a 10% paycut without having to actually say it is just a paycut.

That would just be loss of pay per employee per month. Would probably amount to only a 1% change for the company since it only affects base pay. Bonuses aren't affected by it, so smaller effect on the largest pays because they are bonus based. They didn't want the vacation days used to cover them because if you can't use enough of your holidays they are gone anyways, so why pay you out for them?

You get the furloughs banked in Canada, your discretion when you want to take them. I would guess it wil be the same in the US. I thought the program sucked at first but after almost a year I am now used to the extra 26 days off.

9.2 deduction in total company wide savings or loss of pay per month per employee? Bonuses will be given but no yearly raise? Thats a kick in the nuts.... and can we burn a vacation day to keep from the loss of pay of a furlough? I hope if they get a bonus the layoff follows. Sales is doing a horrible job and management allows sales to do nothing. Lowering prices is not selling. But yet they get a bonus? Maybe safety can get a bonus too, no one claiming accidents in fear of losing their job...

Furlough are coming in April 1 per pay period @9.2% deduction for sure.manager meeting Thursday in Okc on the MBP and SBP bonus plans and all the vp showed up and talk there talk and the kicker is there still paying bonus out to management and sales.what a freaking joke! Cash is king was the spill not worried about operating profit at this point.lets go out and underbid all our competitors and drive them out of business.

That's illegal. If you work on scheduled days off they have to pay you. If you are working through your furlough time they must pay you. Do I smell a class action lawsuit?

Furloughs are great, we have them up here in Canada.

Still laid everyone off so now have to work through the furloughs!

So essentially a 10% Pay cut
