Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

If you have good software skills, you absolutely should have no issue finding a comparable of better job in this economy. No excuses.

Real software engineers who are good have no issues finding a job these days, especially in san diego. The talent for good mobile app software engineers is so lacking, we're seeing some pretty ridiculous offers even for junior-mid grade engineers.

I don't know what it is for embedded and hardware guys, but at least for mobile app software guys, it's looking even better than it was last year. Huge demand and big supply shortage in SD, or for that matter, most of SoCal.

If you're also willing to work in Orange County or L.A./Santa Monica, the opportunities go up exponentially.
