There are so many regular customers we never see anymore. Some I see at the local grocery store and they tell me they won't be back in our store. And they are sad for the way our long term good employees are turned out after making the store what it was. As employees we now can only make purchases witnessed by management and when not on the clock, can't shop while on break. It's carte blanche for shoplifters on a daily basis in the meantime. SHC has done too much damage to recover.

I hear you. Our last Family and Friends event was a mess. No drinks, no games, no prizes. The food they had was microwave popcorn poured into bowls for the whole store to stick their hands in. We were told to bring at least one family or friend, those who didn't got the cold shoulder. There were no special deals on anything, just basically come in and shop and eat popcorn from some bowls. Way to give the employees a sense of pride.

Our last family and Friends event had no food, no prizes, nothing. All the mangers told us was to bring our family and friends in to shop. Our family and friends got a whopping 10% off, just like the employees. WOW what a bargain. Just another ploy to get money out of us any way they can. I thing I will shop at Target or JCP. Prices are cheaper and the stores are nicer. This company is a joke.
Sears used to have Family & Friends sales events that were for employees and their friends. It was like a party. They had food, drawings for prizes and you got to see all your coworkers and retirees. You could even get good deals on products in the stores. Employees used to buy a lot at these events. They eventually had to start letting the general public in because the employees stopped coming when the good deals stopped. Myself and others have not been to a Family & Friends sale event in years. Sears is about done. I can hear the fat lady warming up.
