I was laid off in ROM2 and the last day as an employee was December 8, 2015. I was told that an official severance package with the "Settlement Agreement and General Release" will be mailed to me. The HR Business Partner at that time told me that it could take 2 months. So I waited. By February 2016 I phoned the HR line 1-800 825 5247 and asked for the package. I was told that the HR line was an out-sourced HR entity and had to refer my inquiry to Chevron. I phoned again every week for the last month (totaled 4 times). I always get the same answer that they are waiting for the answer. They have my correct address and phone number. Are you in the same situation? Please advise. Thanks.

Thanks for the update. What a poor system, to not bother to look up your new address in the Chevron White Pages. Chevron uses the 800 numbers to keep you in an endless loop. Apparently they do not want to hear your situation, hoping you will just move on.
@Gr1mufc-2xfd: there is no need to use such language. We are all civilized.
I was sleepless and worried for the last 3 months. A colleague of mine who is still in Chevron phoned one of his friend (let named as Jane) telling my plight. Jane in turn phoned the HR buddy person she knew. Then this morning HR phoned me and told me the story (see below).
On December 7, 2015 I downsized from my rental house in Sugarland and moved to a smaller apartment. I phoned the HR toll free line and gave them my new address. On December 9, 2015 when the Fedex document reached the empty house (could view from the front bay window the place was emptied), Fedex returned the document to Chevron HR. HR made a note on my record that the document was returned undelivered. However, HR never bother to check on their record my new address nor contact me again. Now, HR got a phone call from Jane and looked at their record knowing they had just missed my case.
HR had my new address and my phone number all these time. HR will Fedex the document to me today. I am sitting and waiting by my door literally. Thank you for everyone who read and respond to my quest.
Lesson learned is that I should have written down all the HR contacts before I leave Chevron. I was thinking that Chevron initial two months slow pace was normal. Another lesson learned is that the outsourced HR toll free line is of no help.
I would like to hear from the OP again just to confirm that the post is real, in any event. No offense, but you never know what to expect with all the butthurt deadwood posters on this site.
Hope you get it all straightened out, OP if the post is real. If not, please burn in hell with the rest of the deadwood. If we don't hear from the OP within a few days, you know we've been played by a butthurt loser stirring up $hit.
This is hard to believe... Expect there was an address in docs provided to you when you were laid off that gave the Company mailing address, so you could send a certified letter to Chevron Employee Relations on Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon.
OP, please keep us readers updated to your situation. Your dilemma is astounding and I hope you are able to get s quick resolution. I hope Chevron has the decency to compensate you for your worry and hardship in pursuing the matter. Best of luck.
You need to call a serious workers' rights attorney. I suggest: Simon, Herbert & McClelland. Ask for Mr. Baez. Call 713-987-7100.
Anyone suggesting it is a waste of time is an unethical Chevron HR or PGPA mole on this site.
This is a scary situation. Laid off and no severence either at the end of the day! Wtf is going on?
I bet if you get an attorney involved you'll get your paperwork ASAP!! That's my bet. I wouldn't waste another day calling... you've called over and over again it sounds like. My next call would be to my attorney - then you'll get your paperwork!
Mine came a few days after December 8th by FedEx. Something has clearly gone wrong in your case. Is there a "Severance" tab under your Retirement on Benefits Connection? I would contact your HR Business Partner or his/her replacement and keep calling every day or two until you get an answer.
So many employees were eliminated, the HR business partners are clueless. Many volunteered to leave, they got the papers first. You shoul contact an attorney.
I would suggest you call a lawyer
Forget about trying to contact anyone back at the office, including your HR Business ex-Partner. Everyone is under strict orders to not speak, email, text, or whisper to any former employee. Sorry, but now your only recourse is to get a credible answer from the third party contracted folks on the 1-888-TALK2HR line, or like the previous poster advised... get your attorney to write Chevron a stern letter.
Good luck to you, but if your severance documents, which should have been sent FedEx to your address of record, hasn't reached you in 3 months of your termination date, there's a problem or a misunderstanding on someone's part. Make sure this is followed up right away.
This thread underscores importance of making sure you take all the phone numbers you may need when you leave for this kind of situation. After getting the runaround, you call several people everyday and leave messages if they do not take your call. A certfied letter sent by your attorney may also help. Also you shouldn't have been told about severance you should have something in writing also. Lastly, make sure before leaving that Chevron has your correct mailing address.
I suggest you contact your former Supervisor or General Manager. Additionally I suggest you contact You BU HR General Manager. You've waited long enough. Its time to push the issue up the chain.
I would suggest you call your HR business partner
