I do not work for Chevron, I have a close loved one who does. I had come across this site when I was looking up information on the lay offs and have checked here occasionally to keep up with a little bit. Some of the info has been excellent advise. My family member has worked out of the US for awhile and has told me that he applied for 3 positions that are out of the country as well as 1 in the US. He said he will not know anything until April on a job status for himself. I am really praying for him no matter what the outcome is.

Of course there's jobs available overseas.. umm like in China.. however those are hand picked and if you're not in the clique you're not picked. That's just how it goes at Chevron
there are 739 jobs out of 2.960 total that are outside the U.S.
It'll depend on you're loved one's, I mean husband's, last pmp rating, psg level and job function. Any function other than a PE... Good luck (Liam Neeson, Taken)
Please be aware that there are thousand of families who are in the same situation. At the end of the day, some will be happy and some will be disappointed. There is no guarantee how long will those happier one last though, best is to keep praying and explore other options at the same time.
