Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Mischa Daniel sw quarry

I've never met a more incompetent human being. Honestly have no idea how she is a TL, (heard stories of her "working" her way up with the men TLs <---ask how she met her husband!) with her lack of leadership, bad attitude, and it's clearly apparent she has no idea what the f--- she is doing. Since she was promoted to grocery TL by the biggest douche Of a STL we ever had who is now spinning cotton candy she has run grocery to the ground. TM's have straight up quit, the shelves ALWAYS have holes, she doesn't know how to order and if you don't kiss her ass she targets you. Likes to cry and make up stories so you will feel bad and maybe not notice how worthless she is and clearly apparent she is sucking someone's dick. She gave this whole story how she was leaving cause of a sick relative and made sure the STLs saw her waterworks, but someone had a change of heart when Dain left and now her so called sad story dissappeared and she is on the prowl to yet again suck her way up!

Sad that the comments have devolved into henpecking your ASTL. I liked it more when we all helped each other out, it's what use to make all the difference.

Clearly you all don't understand that all of this nepotism and unprofessional management (piled upon layer upon layer of useless incompetence and know-nothingness) is part of changing the world. Leadership here are higher anointed beings. They are one with the universe, committed to the higher purpose of changing the world. That's why borrowing a billion dollars from our shrinking corporate treasury makes perfect sense. Why not borrow $5 billion? After all we can change the world that much faster. Hell, make it $10 billion.

Get over it you whiny little babies. So you got laid off. Big deal. Get up and get moving. Find another job. I was fired before the layoffs and didn't wine and cry and blame everyone but myself. I went out and found another job. Crying about your leadership after the fact is a cowardly move. You should have done something while ou were there. I do however agree that Denise Weir is a f---ing crazy bitch though. Boo freaking hoo.

She actually is smart but she's a complete moron at the same time. She's incompetent and a liar. She made up that story because Dain wrote her up. And we all know when Dain writes someone up its game over so she tried to get out before he could fire her. As much of a douche as he was at times, yes, agreed, he held people accountable. He wrote me up too but somehow I got back on his good side. Mischa is a liar and a backstabber. She will say or do anything to save her own assbecause she knows how much she sucks at her job and as a human being. As a fellow TL, I know she's always looking to get info on people and then she buddies up to STLs so they stop looking at her idiocracy. But we all know better, Dain should've fired her asswhen he had the chance. He knew the mistake he made hiring her and he was going to correct it. But he's off doing real estate and cotton candy now, another douchebag choice. One team one dream. Hahaha

As grocery dept buyer for years now, I can definitely say that grocery is getting screwed over. Sales keeps ramping up but our labor percentages are going down??! More work with less people and it never gets done to 'whole foods standards.' And people are quitting. So then those left are even further stressed and burnt out. Then they call in sick and even less stuff gets done.

Calling out a TL for sleeping around is uncalled for unless they are sleeping with an underling.

Calling out at TL for being incompetent or having favorites that get away with everything is another story, and should be brought up respectfully, but there are many folks who will target you if you get real with them. (Like my boss)

Bottom line, you can't cut your way to growth, at least not long term. And pushing hardworkers like myself to the brink of collapse will only encourage us to do the bare minimum, and leave for another job asap. Ultimately that hurts the company.

She's young and very mean. Glad to not be working with her anymore. She was crazy...but the sleeping to the top thing does not make sense to me. Lots of people meet and hook up at WFM....and yes she met her current husband who was a TL when they first met. She knows her numbers pretty well but lacks people skills really. I am sorry for anyone who works for her, but the allegations of sexual misconduct is way overboard and uncalled for.

Lots of people in WFM do not deserve the positions they hold - and that is being dealt with. Team Leaders HAVE TO WORK NOW...they simply have to fill in the gaps.

I predict more people will be gone because they could not compromise their routine. I know people will disagree with me harshly on this but the standards have changed....and so must you.

Too many employess at WFM feel that they deserve more money and yet they perform the same exact tasks and gripe if they are asked to do more.

That's a whole other topic!

Yes - Mischa is a bad leader. Bad leaders are falling though...watch.

Agreed w/ @GsgezB2-2ieg.

Take responsibility for your own happiness. Do not sh-- on others unless they themselves have sh-- on you! And then, do it face-to-face in person. Not behind their backs online.

I call f---ing bullshit on that. Stop perpetuating sexism in the work place by insisting women sleep with men to get to a higher position when you wouldn't make similar comments about men you work with. There's a whole lot of petty going on in this thread. It's no wonder the majority of you hate your jobs and loathe anyone in leadership - you're nitwits who blame your unhappiness at work on others instead of taking action and working for that raise or promotion.

@2kki- because, unfortunately, more often than not it's true. I know of some women in leadership down here who slept to their jobs, as well as of the sleazy uppers who allow and perpetuate it. It's a shame since a few of them actually have talent and may have had a lot to give by taking the high road, but damn did they advance quickly and earn special protection by screwing around.

Can someone ever just say a female boss is a a--hole, and leave it at that? Why always throw in an accusation about being a wh--e!?

Damn. Looks like someones pissed because grocery is now held to the same standards as the rest of the store since she took over and had to stop taking 2 lunches in the morning shift where their entire team would go on break at the same time. Sorry she broke up your bro fest, bro.
