Nothing happens - especially no work, everything is at a halt. People sitting around waiting for the axe to fall. Depression setting in, Woe Despair and Misery is rampant!

I have to agree with the 90% number. Almost all must moves are dead, and are just waiting to fall down. I believe this, and I am one of the dead, even though I am certain I would be able to win a position if it were actually open.

Very sad it is. Open jobs, they are not. Dark times. Dark times.

90% of all ESP jobs already had a name on them, be that the incumbent or some other 'critical' person CVX or the BU wants to keep

Too bad there is no way of knowing how many people posted for the jobs, or if the jobs are actually open. Very sneaky way to do things.

Every job has now been shortlisted to five or so by the job owner. There will continue to be intense communication and lobbying between reps, job owners, managers and participants for the next week. Some jobs had 50 applicants while others had only 2 or 3. Jobs will be filled in priority order with highest PSG and top projects filled first. During the session there will be an effort, by PSG, to ensure all in top 1 or 2 quintile get a job and that none in lowest quintile do. Highest quintile is probably ranked 1 at least two of last three years. Lowest includes some 2-. This is a fair and objective way of keeping our best people. Expats may get special consideration for the fact they are often best of the best and better trained.

multiple sections going on at the same time is obvious...mostly automated by Pink Floyd's "the machine"...but hopefully your sponsor is a bada$$

2900 job selections to be made in 3 days...not sure how many hours worked in those days; but figure your own math.

bottom 40% will probably not even make the slates they posted for.

There will be more than 2000 severance packages given...have you noticed the link in your retirement connection?

Good point, O-Blame-O is the biggest piece of deadwood ever to be elected to a major position in the US.

And this is coming from a brother.

The future of the company (best, brightest, most hard working) will voluntarily walk out the door over the next year. They need not put up with the BS anymore. It all starts with a few good folks leaving. Then the floodgates will open. Go forth and be fruitful competent ones.

Exactly, jar. Why would CVX change now? The old gang is still in place. Barking "dead wood" like Hillary at their remaining competition.

It kinda like the Hunger Games, Back Stabbing to gain any advantage, Politics, Intrigue, Cheating, Lying.

You will receive the same quality of communication and transparency that you have received for the past year. It will be as transparent and open as the ALNG startup. If you expect anything more, you are not very intelligent.
