Thread regarding Sears layoffs

cancel sywr membership

thanks, that's a very good idea. We've had to pester our customers with it for so long. I tried it when the post came out a week ago and am still getting the stinking 3-4 emails a day. Corporate really is deaf and DUMB. Maybe if enough of us and our family and friends cancel they will honor our request to stop membership. Or if they don't it's time to contact a consumer group to find out why they ignore cancel requests. How do you cancel? I called the number posted and ask to be unenrolled. Today I got an email saying Thank You for your purchase...and I haven't made any purchases in more than a week.

Cashiers are not allowed to tell the customer (I was never so sick of them making us refer to customers as members) that they have rewards. They wanted the customers to forget about their rewards so they would expire. I also heard that a store manager was scolded around Christmas for giving away to much because of people using their rewards. Corporate are the ones that started the rewards program not the store manager.

Aren't you aware that what will save our Sears stores are SYW sign ups and e-mails,plus sending shopping recaps. Anyway that is what we are being told by the district managers . So far it has not been very successful.
