I show up on time for work everyday. While at the office, I do what is needed to get as much done and finish my day. After all, the old saying, "90% of being successful is showing up", is very true.

Almost all of you and more than 90% of your colleagues are going to be without jobs, all your savings and retirement money will be gone in less than a year (or two, maximum). all your pension money will be lost. whatever you have on your bank accounts is not going to be accessible by your or your family. no chance to get any money from ATMs. No jobs, no money. Empty grocery stores.

I keep busy by continuing to network with my contacts, inside and out of Chevron. I stay close to my desk and look occupied. I don't commiserate with my buddies at the coffee pot for too long (managers are looking for targets to let go). I read this layoff site on my personal iPhone and hope for the best. But I cannot concentrate on busting asson the job right now. My main concern is centered on survival and staying clear of the axe.

I work for AMBU. And it's the same deal. No work. Just look busy. Told human resources and they said listen to your boss. They can pay me to sit and do nothing but I would rather work.

Talk about morale... most people in my BU go to lunch at 11:00 and slowly coming back to their cubicle at 12:30 or 1:00 pm. A manager I know come in at 8 am and leave at 3:00 pm for the last 3 weeks.

It has been noted company wide the slow down in productivity. The haters on this thread don't understand hard work. They will fail in the real world. When they get payed off they will realize their skill set is not adequate. I am in Midcon too. I am not in scope.

The scary part is Midcon and deep water are the core business's of Chevron moving forward. Chevron will get 20% of its production from the Permian in the next 8 years. With these massive layoffs here I don't think it bodes well for the others.
