Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

BHI suspends 401k contribution. But managers still get their lofty bonus/stocks

See how that works?

Cut the fat from Houston and Sugar Land offices. Hell there were some promotions to insulate M. Law and Crackerhead from any lay-offs. The sorry BASTARDS take care of their own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually I'd rather them cut jobs than cut anything else out of an already stretched thin operations staff. Cut the fat in Houston.

Better to cut matching contributions, than to cut jobs.

Really you must be an idiot or sniffed too much solvent.

If you can find another job while still employed, you better go for it. It's harder to find a job unemployed than employed. There are many jobs out there in other industries.

Notice the BHI executives didn't take a pay-cut like Halliburton executives? The matrix layers of VP's are like onions. Every time you peel one, you have another layer, and all you do is want to cry.

Baker Hughes has already layed of thousands of employees and cut wages. Now they will stop matching our 401 k. All the company cares about is the merger with Halliburton and Craigheads bonus

I still get my 401K matching plus a huge salary. Oh let's not forget the 55 million dollar bonus that will be in my pocket. You know BHI and me are very concerned about you as employees. Just keep your heads up it's only a 5% cut right now. Next month I will go after a total of 15% reduction in your wage. Yes simple minds I do care about each and everyone of you. Yes there will be cuts in the work force in April.

This 401k cut ain't saving man jobs. If they don't have business that requires keeping you they gonna cut you regardless of whether they match 401k or not. This 401k crap is all about quarterly earnings. I can see furloughs as an attempt to save jobs and one can only wonder how far off furloughs are.

it is better to accept cuts than join the unemployment line at an average $10 an hour entry level job regardless of education/experience.
