Intel is going toe to toe with the US government and my hat is off to them.
Intel had to outsource to survive back in 2005. Tech companies were charged a 35% tax for all money earned overseas, so that money stayed overseas.
When Obama was elected Intel invested 15 billion in manufacturing facilities in the US. They also instituted export licensing control, something never seen before but it seemed to keep jobs and expertise in the USA.
It is an election year and the tax benefits extended to Intel in the Obama administration are going away and so are the jobs of experienced US employee's.
It is not personal!!!
This is a political battle that has nothing to do with us.
If I was in charge of a multi-billion dollar company and I was looking at having to do business with Hilary or Trump, I am sure I would make some hard and abrupt decisions.
This is a F* Y from Intel to the US government.
Unfortunately there are some of us who are caught in the cross the fire.
I have signed my papers and I am moving on, with respect and gratitude for a company that (as far as I am concerned) is fighting the good fight.
I appreciate the opportunity and experience I received with them and I look forward to building upon that to create something that is mine and cannot be taken away.
