What kind of company keeps criminals, chronies, racists, sexists, bigots, and lets clean, honest workers go? Chevron GOM. These people think they can not be touched cause it goes all the way to the top of GOM leadership.

I think that moon landing was all staged in a movie studio. Our race to the moon and getting there before the Russians was more important than anything, even to go as far as faking it. After all, perception is often times reality. There's a documentary that does a pretty good job casting serious doubt there was an actual moon landing.

Integrity? That starts with an "I" and there is no "I" in Chevron. There was a time not so long ago that sexism, racism, chroniism, payola, etc were kisses of death to a Chevron EE, particularly managers, now they are encouraged and the Whistle blowers are crucified. What a shame.
Sadly to say, 3lya, that is becoming the case more often. Skirting the rules and pushing the envelope are not being punished as rigorously as only a decade ago. Lack of accountability and integrity by management are the main drivers for bold employees getting away with cutting corners and outright cheating. Demoralizing.

These things exist in all companies. What really defines any company is how seriously they take this and do they punish the messenger or deal with the problem children.
Chevron's been there before, rogue managers who build personal profit centers and abuse powers with tactics as far from the Chevron way as possible. They always fall hard when it catches up, sometimes go to prison. Get fired,etc, will no doubt happen again, leaving behind a terrible legacy of their actions in a great company. Has happened in San Ramon, Houston, New Orleans, and no doubt even Covington.
Have to agree with the OP - just look at the typical Chevron employee who responded first. Defending bigotry, protecting those who carry out work place harassment. Shows the real Chevron Way when people protect and defend attacks on others for the simple reason of being a repugnant person. But that's Chevron these days for you.

Oh yes, there's lots of free riders at Chevron. Peruse the halls and coffee stations a bit more frequently. Stick your head in the cafeteria after regular lunch times more often. You'll see a lot of the "free riders" I'm talking about. I know of career long free riders at Chevron. Nothing is done about it either.
