All chemical services staff here are not able to give real figures for their income. All what they can do is cursing other PLs and complimenting their a$$e$. Talking from financial perspective is absent..! This is the real level of their knowledge & ethics..!

Man what I would give to learn what your hard on is for the Polymers business is about. The Polymers business is a very small part of chemicals. I'd guess less than $100 million. BHI tried to sell it and couldn't find a buyer. Sounds like you'd like them to just shut it down.
Chemicals for production, yes! Chemicals for cosmetics, plastics, candles, adhesives, paints, etc., no! Sell that business to BASF, Westlake, Eastman, Ashland, or any other competitor that needs it and can pay for the cleanup.

The point is someone here very excited with his chemical service and trying to show that baker has nothing except them and it would announce its bankruptcy in case baker sold them. This idiot forgot the that baker essentially started as drilling services company and they added chemicals services later to their services & products.
People, people, people .... So much misplaced angst. Don't let this ongoing nightmare turn us against each other. As has been discussed in a number of previous threads chemicals is doing significantly better than most other parts of the company cause operators want to produce oil & gas and that requires chemical. That said chemicals could be doing better as operators keep demanding discounts from chemical providers and fewer new wells coming online means less production chemicals used. Before the downturn, chemicals had $2 billion in revenue, so those who think it wasn't a significant player in BHI are clueless.
We now understand why Baker is in the shape its in and going down, with idiots like you people working for the company. With all of the equipment stacked in yards setting idle around Texas and Oklahoma. I wouldn't be getting on a public thread showing how conceited and stupid you are!
Who's asking to understand the balance sheet. Where is petrolite on it? Please read it carefully and see how it has general financial data for every quarter like cost of administration, taxes, marketing, researches...etc. How do you ask to read balance sheet to recognize the profit of petrolite services ? Hot damn we have been ready to get away from Baker since 1999. Baker is and has been ran by a bunch of incompetent idiots for many decades. Petrolite division is the only reason Baker Hughes is still open for business with oil in the crapper.
