What about CPL reorganization?

@2gqt, I agree with you, but you are off topic. Start a new thread to carry the debate and discussion in one direction.
Chevron just announced another 650 cut in Houston alone. Watch Texas ask for taxpayer money back that gave Chevron millions of dollars to move employees from CA to Texas. This claw back is coming soon.
There is still 1,000 more cuts to come this year.
Yes why did the flag move? And the shadows were wrong.
I have just learnt that americans never visited the Moon, all that was a fake
@HDPRtPF-2mrn - Yes, you are full of $hit Indeed, as many trolls on these boards are. Keep spewing it and keep everyone entertained. Will look forward to your BS reply.
@HDPRtPF-2kgg - 45 minutes ago you saiid , you were doing offshore shift work when I was in diapers. Please help me understand. Were you working offshore or not. You are full of sh-- and confusing.
You are most likely a desk jockey, not that that's a bad thing. I have been one of those too but spent enough years offshore to not sound like an idiot when discussing the subject.
@HDPRtPF-2nne, No, I ordered people like you to do those things, but I didn't ask for that position, it's just way things work out. No offense intended.
HDPRtPF-2lsw - Haha yet you never worked an 84 hour week or moved a drum of oil or chemical. Yeah right.
@HDPRtPF-2zyu, The oil retired O & G hand that you just replied to was doing offshore shift work while you were in your diapers, son. Get a clue and a life.
1jtt - you should get a little oil field experience before opening your millennial pie hole.
Rotational position, 7 days a week x 12 hours per day = 84 hours per week.
Very common in oil and gas industry.
This is BS. - how are you rolling 450 lb drums when you can't walk. If you can't walk, how have you "never had a sit down job". None of your spurious comments add up or make any sense. Also BS is the 84 hour weeks - BS - up at 3 - BS

Thanks for the jokes and entertainment, though!!
@1wry, I'm only pulling your leg. I meant no disrespect with my jokes. I understand you work hard and hope things work out for you. Maybe you will get your wish this time and will be able retire with a handsome severance package and 6 months to collect vacation pay (unemployment) from the State of Texas. Good luck to you.
Crazy how time will get you. At 25 you laugh at long term consequences. Now I live them everyday.
They are taking their time sorting through all of the useless pieces of dead wood.
The only choppers @tmx sees these days are his own dentures soaking in a glass of water and Polydent.
I'd like to see @tmx take his walker or electric scooter up to the production platform on his next hitch. Make room on the chopper for this guy. He's pushing 64 and should be collecting social security next year. Hopefully all your work is on the top deck, fella. I'd hate for you to have to go up and down 3 or 4 decks everyday. The ADA doesn't mandate elevators or escalators out here in the Gulf. Tough it out or put in for retirement.
@nvj, There's no number on the headcount to be cut at each BU. That's because a hard number was not mandated. The cuts are determined by an algorithm score for each BU. A base score is computed for each employee in the org chart based on current base salary, years of service and current age of the employee. The higher the score, the costlier the employee is to the organization. All scores are added up and the executives are mandated to lower the total score to a certain level. So it's up to local BU management yo determine how to arrive at the new total score. If higher paid employees are retained (i.e. management and senior technical types), then more rank and file employees are let go. There's no determined headcount reduction, but a balanced reduction that is aimed at reducing costs (direct pay and benefits).
Now this is one of the few legitimate complaints about the way Chevron has handled this downturn. The lack of transparency regarding future layoffs (who and how much) has hurt the company's reputation and will impact future recruiting. I just don't understand why the execs decide to announce hard numbers and timing to shareholders but give no details to employees. Not consistent with the type of company Chevron claims to be.
I suspect the previous poster is correct about PDC's/must moves but that is just speculation given the lack of information from management. We also have no idea which disciplines, BUs, etc will be impacted.
it's called a PDC with a bunch of must-moves but no jobs to move to!
