People are complaining about lack of information and quality of posts on this forum. So here you go... I'm not an exec, but not far from it on the BHI org charts. Yes, the system is rigged and corrupt as hell, but it is a symptom of larger problems and not the disease.
These are not like the times when your parents were your age. People don't work for the same company their whole career, and companies don't really give a sh-- about their employees. Part of it is the litigious culture we live in now, where some people won't hesitate to sue a company for anything trying to make a quick buck. Do you think HR really exists to help you? No, their job is to protect the company FROM you. Do you think the HSE organization gives a crap about your safety? I assure you they don't. They exist to give the company defense against negligence when they are sued by the family, etc.
One truth is that the system is corrupt as hell and rigged. You cannot make it to exec level of a publicly traded company without selling your soul. We have this unholy, pulsating, mutated symbiosis of private corporations and government called crony capitalism. It's probably the worst economic and political system possible. The top predators in banking and industry get rich by exploiting laws and regulations passed by their buddies in the government. In return, they are good boys and girls and follow the agenda - pushing diversity, minimizing American culture, and controlling what is acceptable in their own organizations' cultures. We could discuss why this is the agenda, but it's beyond the scope of this thread.
Baker Hughes is a shining example of cronyism. We are the first to capitulate to government demands. Remember when congress demanded to know what was in frac fluid? Who was the first to happily release their secret recipe? Yup, good ol' BHI. More emails pushing diversity, gender equality, equal opportunity employment, etc. come from the exec level than any other topic. By far. Remember that Mother's Day email from the new HR exec? I'll bet each of you $50 that we won't see a similar email on Father's Day... It doesn't fit the narrative. This isn't because BHI cares about diversity, women, etc. they don't; they're just following orders.
You want to fix the corruption at the top? Everyone, Stop apologizing for your success and giving in to the social justice warrior's demands. Yes, it very well might cost you your job, or limit your career aspirations, but you will keep your integrity and soul. Trust me, it's not worth it. If you're not a white male, don't fall into the trap of thinking yourself a victim. That's what they want. Victims have no power and are easy to control.

Everyone got a bonus in March when the profits were in the toilet and I didn't hear one person complain. Times are tough.... if you can find a job elsewhere that meets the needs of the benefit package you want, then please head over there.
Put your money where your mouth is. If they are so crooked then why do continue to work for them? Why help them? They will fuuck you any way they can. You know this. I know it's hard to let go of a " so called" good paying job but when you and I all agree they are evil and will rape you or your cat whenever they feel like it, when do you say enough? Move on. Find another soulless multinational company to wh--eout to. It sucks, but until people realize that these "masters of business" are just humans who knew the right people to get the job and can only work the system and not a hammer, they will continue to own you. They can't change a freaking light bulb with you. Only tell you how much it will save if it's outsourced. Wake up!!! They are putting their pe--s in your mouth right now.
