OP sounds like a liberal who has had the word "entitlement" thrown into his face for a few years, so now he figures he'll try using it against others. But he fails poorly at doing so.
At least, I didn't make decisions that caused billions in losses.

I never forced Intel to pay me my salary i receive. They often state that the compensation they offer is competitive with the markeylt. Therefore, I do not think I am either overpaid or under paid.

I am being paid the market price for my engineering services that you agreed to pay. In exchange I delivered by the timelines you set all tasks assigned to me successfully. The tasks you ask me to deliver lie within my job responsibilities defined by my grade level.

I know a lot of people who were shown the door who are worth more than a lot of people who kept their jobs. If you are going to ask the people who left that question you must also ask the people who were not asked to leave. Asking only one group is meaningless.
Worth is a relative term. When I look at how much i give back to the Gov. in taxes and then they turn around and give it to the Israelis and then they turn around and give it back to Intel. yes I'm worth maybe a little bit more than a 100K minimum. O.o

I agree to a certain extend. But at the end of the day, low level ICs are not signing up to create value for Intel. We are signing up to be paid for our time and talent and do what we are told. Thats why majority of our salary is cash and not stock. It's different for people who make much more consequential decisions . And the problem is that when some of these decisions go bad, they are not held accountable or they have a nice golden parachute . We are followers and ourabolity to make consequential decisions is very small. But you can certainly fault is for working for a company whose cash cow has been shrinking since 2012. We should have gotten out. In that respect, yes we became too comfortable

Irrelevant - salaries are set by supply and demand.
In the group I worked, it was easy to achieve multi-million cost savings. Say, $30 million to $250 million in cost avoidance is routine.
One might think that such a group should be expanded - more headcount means more savings.
