Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Murthy wanted to reduce headcount to 80k to align with Qualcomm revenue per head.

BK was worried about this risk. Once the sugar rush comes in the next few quarters BK won't be able to resist.

Intel is indeed bloated and needs to lose fat fast, but - looking at the last 2 rounds of layoffs I can attest they were aimed at flesh, not fat.

The fat cats will stay and the fat/muscle ratio will increase to a point of immenent heart failure.

Tsmc makes 800bn in revenue from 40k employees. So 80k employees is about right. Who's the f---ing dumbass now!

without some incredibly significant deals / design wins, Intel will will on the "cutting" edge so to speak.

Dumbass post.

QCOM makes 70% of their money from patent licenses. This takes just just a few lawyers.

Intel runs FABS which are labor intensive.

I agree with murthy. Intel is bloated like hell. Another 20k make it competitive to other hardware companies.
