Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

After June2nd: How soon will we know whether VSP turns into ISP?

I am not sure if I should accept that VSP. It may be inconvenient if we are no longer eligible for rehire.

They did not say 100% for sure packages would be different, they said they "could" be different.

I tend to agree. Take the money (VSP) and run.

Seriously? If you got the offer you also got the letter from your VP TELLING you that they have bucketed you into an expendable slot. They also told you flat out that the packages are going down from here, why would they lie about this? Most companies that head down this road tend to stop paying people to leave after a couple of passes. Take the money and run- The jig is up.......Party's over........

Nobody knows for sure what will happen, when it will happen and to whom. All Intel employees are at risk for losing their job; no one is special, no one is safe.

Since VSP folks were the only ones that received the "stern" letter, you can bet that those who didn't take VSP are first on the chopping block if their numbers are not met.

The 12K isn't a hard number (as rumor has it). Intel may actually be looking at dumping 30K. Any package will look good when that event occurs.

We have a BOD and CEO spending like drunken sailors and also steering the SS Intel into the rocks. Batten down your finances folks. And scout out your lifeboat now.

Basically everybody at Intel is like a sitting duck regardless of VSP. Don't worry is all I can advice you. Be glad you woke up this AM. It will all be OK.

Contrary to what's on the board, there is no VSP->ISP conversion. You may be selected for ISP regardless of your VSP status, This will happen By June 30.

If Intel doesn't meet 12k target, then further actions will be announced in the next couple weeks, and will be BU dependent, as each needs to hit !1%

There will be another performance management cycle next year, and live is possible that some VSP from this year get performance managed
